Beautiful From The Inside-Out
In an effort to provide the widest number of choices to facilitate the building process, Colorado Timberframe offers a number of packages and supporting services to help in construction. Do you only need the bare bones of your building and already have preferences for everything else? We can supply that. Do you also need exterior walls, or even exterior walls, doors, and windows? We have packages for each of those as well.
In addition to home services, we also have designs and packages available for barns and other accessory structures such as pergolas, summerhouses, boathouses, pavilions, and more. If we don’t already have it or you want something a little more unique, we can custom design any type of accessory structure and provide the materials to construct it.

We Won’t Just Leave You With An Instruction Book
Colorado Timberframe offers three levels of “consulting” to insure you get the most out of the timberframe packages you have selected from us.
The first is to provide an experienced, onsite supervisor to work with your construction team when assembling the timberframe structure, SIPs, and other shell elements as needed—from start to finish.
The second is to provide a team who will come to your site and complete the assembly and installation of whatever package you have selected from us.
The third is the personal, on-site service we make available within a two-hour window of the Boulder-Denver area. In partnership with Cornerstone Contracting, we provide a complete “turnkey” of services from the start of planning your home’s design and selecting the proper lot to finishing the last items on your punch list even as you prepare to move in.
Structural Integrity is Our Specialty
Colorado Timberframe is built around building you a home that will last for generations. It is the core of what we do—just as our posts and beams are at the core of every structure we build.
Our most basic package is our simple frame package—the bare-bones skeleton of a home. This means a high-end, high-quality mortise and tenon, wood-on-wood, post-and-beam timbers that fit and lock together to create the structure of your home. The vast majority of our frame packages come from Douglas Fir, naturally dried in our yard outside of Denver, Colorado. However, we also create timberframe kits out of a number of other woods and offer a full range of drying techniques, including kiln-drying and radio-frequency kiln drying (RFKD). We have also recently built some beautiful homes using timbers reclaimed from old buildings; something that both recycles building materials as well as giving your home a story and look that will always be your own.
Outer Shell Package
Easy Installation, Energy Efficiency, and Cut-To-Order
Timberframe posts and beams are the skeleton of beautiful homes, but structurally insulated panels (SIPs) are the natural next step in turning a bare-bones structure into a safe and energy-efficient home. SIPs are wall unit panels that fit into place—they are precut and pre-drilled for the easy installation of wiring, switches and sockets, windows, and doors. Using SIPs to finish the enclosure of your home is the best way to insure it is not only beautiful and solid, but also easy to heat or cool, depending on the season.
Complete Shell Package
The Best Package Available For Maximizing Your Energy Efficiency
Taking our solid timberframe package, then adding the exterior efficiency of SIPs, with the added bonus of the best doors, windows, and roofing, you would have our complete, weather-tight shell package. By selecting high-quality, high-efficiency doors and windows with the proper R-values, and then placing them strategically on the correct sides of the home to collect passive solar energy, you create a home that is the easiest and cheapest to cool and heat available on the market today.
Traditional Elegance, Stability, & Functionality
In all the history of the world, there is no better structure for a barn than the solid posts and beams of a timberframe construction. There are barns still standing in the world today that were built more than 300 years ago. Because of this, we build a lot of barns—and would be glad to help you with yours!
No Project Too Small
At Colorado Timberframe we so love the look of timberframe structures that we welcome smaller projects that want to take advantage of that beauty and simplicity. That could mean helping you with a pergola, a gazebo, a boathouse, a summerhouse, a garden shed, a garage, a pavilion, porch, arch or entranceway, or any other exterior building or structure you can possibly imagine.
